iReceptor Technical Lead Brian Corrie participated in a Compute Canada hosted panel on Supporting Research Platforms and Portals at the 2018 Canadian Higher Education in IT (CANHEIT) conference June 19th, 2018. Interesting discussion around the challenges in developing a research platform.
The iReceptor Technical Team attended the CANARIE Research Software Engineering Conference and presented on the team's experience in developing software as part of the International Adaptive Immune Response Rerpertoire (AIRR) Community. The B.C. government, through the BC Knowledge Development Fund (BCKDF), has awarded Simon Fraser University $525,000 to support the iReceptor Data Integration System in early disease detection and action. Total investment in this phase of the project is $1.3 million, including matching funds from the Canada Foundation for Innovation as well as Simon Fraser University.
